There is no Frigate like a Book

Robert Weisbuch, president of Drew University, and a big fan of poetry.  Someday I’ll join him at the Dodge Poetry Festival.  A few years ago he sent me this Emily Dickinson poem:

There is no Frigate like a Book

To take us Lands away

Nor any Coursers like a Page

Of prancing Poetry -

This Travers may the poorest take

Without oppress of Toll -

How frugal is the Chariot

That bears the Human soul.
